Ravens complete three-year M&T Bank Stadium renovation
The Baltimore Ravens have completed a three-year renovation of M&T Bank Stadium, highlighted by a transformed North Plaza, new premium hospitality areas, expanded concourses and upgraded fan amenities. The project represents roughly $450 million in improvements and is designed to enhance both the NFL gameday experience and the stadium’s ability to host concerts and other year-round events. Patriots open new 160,000-square-foot training facility
The New England Patriots have opened the New Balance Athletics Center, a 160,000-square-foot facility next to the team’s practice fields at Gillette Stadium that includes football offices, meeting rooms, and training spaces. Designed by Populous and built by Suffolk Construction, the three-level facility more than doubles the space previously available to the team inside the stadium and was designed with flexibility for future training and performance needs. Dallas Stars select HNTB to design proposed Plano arena
The Dallas Stars have selected HNTB as lead designer for the NHL team’s proposed new arena in Plano, Texas, which would anchor a mixed-use district west of the Dallas North Tollway. The development is envisioned as a year-round destination combining the arena with sports, entertainment, retail, dining and public gathering spaces. Read more here.
Portland approves term sheet for Moda Center renovation
Portland City Council has approved a term sheet for a nearly $600 million renovation of Moda Center, advancing plans to modernize the home of the NBA’s Trail Blazers. Chicago Bears narrow Indiana stadium search to two Hammond sites
The Chicago Bears are evaluating two sites in Hammond, Indiana, as the team advances plans for a new stadium and mixed-use development outside Illinois. The Bears have completed their review of the Lost Marsh site and are conducting due diligence on Wolf Lake Terminal, with the two properties potentially forming part of a larger development. Commanders select construction team for new D.C. stadium
The Washington Commanders have selected a joint venture of Clark Construction, Mortenson and SmootDC to build the team’s planned 1.8-million-square-foot stadium at the former RFK Stadium site. Miami Heat upgrade control room with IP-based synchronization
The Miami Heat upgraded the control room at Kaseya Center with Meinberg’s LANTIME IMS M2000 synchronization platform as part of the venue’s move to an IP-based production environment. The system provides precise timing and synchronization across broadcast and in-venue production workflows while giving the Heat a modular platform that can expand as its technology needs evolve. American Express Adds Interactive Fan Experiences at US Open
American Express will introduce new interactive experiences at the 2026 US Open, including Tennis Rhythm Rally, a digital game that lets up to seven fans compete simultaneously at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The company will also bring back its complementary radios for card members to follow live match action throughout the grounds, alongside expanded lounges and other onsite fan amenities. Capital One extends arena naming rights deal for 20 years
Monumental Sports & Entertainment and Capital One have agreed to a 20-year extension of the naming rights for Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. The agreement comes as the home of the NBA’s Wizards and NHL’s Capitals undergoes a $1 billion-plus transformation scheduled for completion ahead of the 2027-28 season. Read more here.
Magic, Hornets sign local broadcast deals with Cox Media Group
Cox Media Group has reached multiyear agreements to become the local broadcast partner of the Orlando Magic and Charlotte Hornets beginning with the 2026-27 NBA season. OVG Hospitality enters Spain with Celta Vigo partnership
Oak View Group has partnered with LaLiga club Celta Vigo to develop a new food and beverage concept at the 24,870-seat Estadio Abanca Balaídos, marking OVG Hospitality’s first project in Spain. The agreement is part of the stadium’s ongoing modernization and could eventually expand to Celta360, the club’s planned sports innovation, health, education, and high-performance complex. Old Trapper signs on as founding partner of new Pac-12
The Pac-12 has named Old Trapper a Founding Partner and the conference’s official beef jerky brand under a multiyear agreement brokered by Playfly Sports. The partnership includes branding, advertising, and fan activations across football, men’s and women’s basketball, and other Pac-12 championship events, including in-arena exposure at the conference’s basketball tournaments.
